The Evolution of Movement: The Silver Sculpture “Rolling Spiral”

Created in 2016, “Rolling Spiral” by the renowned sculptor Maximilian Verhas embodies mathematical and aesthetic precision in the field of kinetic art. Conceived as a complex “rolling body”, the sculpture dispenses with any fixed top, bottom or front. Its all-round geometry allows the work of art to be moved physically, so that the relationship between space, reflected light and form unfolds a new visual dynamic with every turn.

The work of art is realised in the elaborate solid silver casting process from approximately 8 kilograms of solid fine silver (999), so that the silky matt polished elegance of the pure precious metal accentuates the flowing bands of the spiral. Measuring approximately 21 cm in height, 14 cm in width and 17 cm in depth, the work represents an exclusive small series limited to 25 signed and numbered examples worldwide. Through the exclusive use of pure precious metal, this sculpture on BullionArt embodies a lasting and inflation-protected symbiosis of sophisticated contemporary sculpture and substantial physical tangible assets.
