When primal force is cast in silver: Bär by Tilmann Krumrey

Head heavy and lowered, mouth slightly open, this bear paces its space with an even, far-reaching stride – alert, powerful, unstoppable. In this sculpture Tilmann Krumrey captures the primal presence of the animal: the massive shoulders, the swinging gait on all fours, the watchful gaze beneath the pronounced brow. The deliberately lively, slightly rough surface keeps the hand modelling visible and tangible and gives the figure an archaic texture.

Cast from 5 kg of pure fine silver (999 silver), each piece belongs to a numbered edition, marked with the edition number, the fineness hallmark and the artist’s signature on the underside. The work comes fully into its own as a solitaire or together with its counterpart “Bulle” – the classic antagonist of stock-market symbolism – but can equally be acquired on its own as an imposing individual piece.

Please note: the price of silver is subject to market fluctuations; the final sale price is based on the prevailing fine silver price and will be quoted on request.
