Patience that pays off: Koi 1 & Koi 2 by Jana Pfeifer
The koi is regarded as a symbol of patience, ambition, good fortune, success and prosperity. This meaning probably also reflects the demanding keeping of these fish, which calls for a great deal of care – and which often pays off in the end. Jana Pfeifer translates this symbolism into two finely worked, true-to-nature silver figures: “Koi 1” and “Koi 2”, each with individually modelled scales, a characteristically curved dorsal fin and the alert, slightly protruding gaze that makes the fish appear alive even at rest.
The two koi captivate with their special presence and are impressive as a group, yet they unfold their charm just as readily on their own. With 3.0 kg of fine silver, “Koi 1” is the heavier of the two, while “Koi 2” is somewhat lighter at 2.6 kg – both can be acquired individually or combined as a pair that appears to be swimming through the room when the two are placed slightly offset from one another. And anyone who brings a little patience along might, with an eye on the rising silver price, even come to find that acquiring them is rewarding in more than ideal terms.
Please note: the silver price is subject to market fluctuations; the final sale price depends on the prevailing price of fine silver and is provided on request.
